Paint, sketch, photograph, tour, shop and dine while tracing the art and gardens of the Impressionists. Starting in Paris, we will travel through Normandy, visiting gardens, châteaux, museums and historical villages. Gourmet, local cuisine will be paired with wines of the region for your total French experience.
Daily, you will have several options - historical and garden tours with Catherine; painting, sketching or photographing with Jann; shopping and touring on your own or just relaxing at your own pace. The choice will be yours. Non-painters welcome!

YOUR TOUR HOSTS
Catherine Watters will lead the tours of gardens, châteaux, museums and share their colorful history. She has led tours in Normandy since 1999.
Jann Pollard will be the painting , sketching, photography instructor. Open to all levels of artists. No easels required. We will be capturing the moment through photos, sketches and small, plein air paintings. Jann has led tours in various locations since 1997.

ITINERARY
Independent arrival in Paris, day before trip
Suggestion will be given for Paris hotel
DAY 1
Day in Paris at the gardens of Bagatelle
Welcome luncheon in the gardens
Dinner on your own
DAY 2
Drive to Giverny, visit Monet’s Garden and the Museum of American Impressionists.
Drive to Honfleur in the late afternoon.
Lodging in Honfleur
DAYS 3, 4, 5
Honfleur is home base for day trips to Honfleur, Etretat and Varengeville, where the Impressionists painted.

DAY 6
Morning in Deauville, then drive to Bayeux, home of the famous Norman tapestries.
Lodging in château near Bayeux
DAYS 7, 8, 9
Bayeux is home base for day trips to Mont Saint-Michel, gardens and châteaux in the Bayeux region.
Lodging in château nr. Bayeux
DAY 10
Drive back to Paris, stopping for tour and farewell luncheon at beautiful 18th century château.
