Haven't you always visualized yourself painting on the Seine in Paris? This is your chance.

Paint, sketch, explore and relax in the City of Light. With sketchbook and camera in hand, we'll stroll along the intimate 'rues', finding secret places and hidden 'jardins'. Our painting locations are a magical confluence of light and subject. Come prepared to indulge all of your senses in the beauty and 'joie de vivre' that is Paris.

Non-painting partners are welcome.

San Francisco Seminars - Petit Rousset
For over 15 years, Director, Beverly Held has been organizing Cultural travel programs. She holds an M.A. in Museum Studies & Ph.D. in Art History; she has taught and lectured extensively in the US and abroad. Dr. Held knows France well, especially Paris, which she has been exploring for the past two decades.

Jann Pollard, NWS will be the instructor. Open to all levels of artists and in any medium. We will be capturing the moment through photos, sketches and small, plein air paintings. Jann has led tours in various locations since 1997.

ROOM ACCOMMODATIONS
We will be staying in a 3 star hotel in the center of Paris on the Left Bank, easily walkable to sites and/or close to a Metro stop.

DAY 1 - Tuesday, Aug 25
Independent arrival in Paris
Hosted Welcome Reception at hotel. Dinner on own.

DAY 2 - 7
A sampling of our itinerary

Place des Vosgues, one of the greatest architectural ensembles of all times, surrounding central square. Along the covered arcades enjoy antique shops, book sellers and tea salons.

Montmartre We will visit this famous artist's area of Paris, paint and take a Walking Tour after lunch.

Ile St. Louis We will paint on the banks of the Seine with great water vistas. There will be time to do a little browsing and maybe an ice cream from the famed shop, Berthillon.

Tuileries Garden We will enjoy a day of painting in the royal garden of the Louvre Palace. As an option, you may wish to join Beverly for a visit to the Louvre for a few hours.

Luxembourg Gardens - the most beautiful and Parisian of the City's gardens. with time for shopping in the Latin Quarter.

Giverny - One day we will venture out to Monet's garden and home in Giverny. We will also visit the Museum of American Art, devoted to American artists who followed Monet to Giverny.

Final DAY 8 Breakfast and farewells. For those joining Jann & Beverly in Dordogne, we take the TGV to Bordeaux.
